We’re really excited to announce that Minazi Consulting will be working with Boafo Pa, a social enterprise based in the UK, whose mission is to increase access to quality education for deprived persons in Ghana. Quality Education is the fourth UN Sustainable Development Goal and is a strategic means to poverty reduction.

A 2020 UNICEF data, estimates that 71% of children in Ghana, complete their primary education. According to the 2021 Population and Housing Census conducted by the Ghana Statistical Service, the literacy rate in the country is at 70%. Also, according to data on the website of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), a free basic and secondary initiative by the government of Ghana, ensured a 69% literacy rate in 2021, for citizens aged between 6 years and older.

Boafo Pa aims to address this educational gap by establishing a modern library in a small children’s home located at Tema, in the Greater Accra region of Ghana, to provide much better educational resources to not only the residents of the home, but also the children in the wider community, eventually leading to a creative, learning hub and cross-curricular activity centre.

We believe this is a great project and we are extremely happy to be involved in their mission!
